Princess Henriette von und zu Liechtenstein (1843-1931), daughter of Prince Alois II, married her cousin Prince Alfred von und zu Liechtenstein in 1865. She was the grandmother of the future Prince Francis Joseph II. The well-known horse painter Emil Adam worked for the Austro-Hungarian higher nobility and produced numerous equestrian portraits of the leading families of the time.
