One of this artistic duo’s strong themes was the motif of a head. They repeatedly returned to it. The Head with a Square Eye on offer in our auction further develops the motif of the stylization and overall conception of a human head. Characteristic for this seminal work is geometrical stylization and optical usage of the hollow in the middle of the glass block, which shines through the whole object. The artistic duo created the Head with a Square Eye in 1986. The piece on offer is an author’s replica from 1996.
