The author graduated from the Glassmaking Secondary School in Železný Brod, department of fused sculpture under the tutelage of prof. Jan Černý (1953 – 1957). He began his collaboration with prof. Černý in the 1960s and continued until this death in 1978. In 1984 he founded his own studio in which he devoted himself to sculpting. He worked on his own technique of fused sculpture.
The work on offer is one of his largest works, only one piece was made.
