Konstruktion aus patiniertem Stahl. Das Bücherregal selbst bestaht aus einem gebogenem Streifen aus Stahl in Spulenform. An diesem sind Trennwände montiert, die die einzelnen Regaleinteilungen bewirken. Ritzsignatur "Ron Arad". Maße: Höhe ca. 260 cm, Breite ca. 170 cm, Tiefe ca. 33 cm. Das Bücherregal kann sowohl als Wandregal als auch freistehend im Raum verwendet werden.

Prototyp des Bücherregals "This Mortal Coil", welches von Ron Arad Associates in limitierter Serie produziert worden ist. "After the Well Tempered Chair, which was constructed out of four 0.8 mm sheets of stainless tempered steel, bent and bolted by wingnuts, Arad embarked on experiments with coils of thicker tempered steel (1.5 mm). Initial explorations of the nature of the material developed into pieces of furniture with a new type of movement (pieces such as Beware of the Dog and This Mortal Coil) and new types of free-form lines (as in the Bookworm)."
