… The categorisation “Like a Landscape” refers to a novel analogy, where the process of putting colour on the canvas is the process of nature. From now on, every one of Weiler’s paintings refers to itself, it shows very plainly that it consists of nothing other than out of the creation of its amorphous, colourful traces. At the same time and in this manner, this chaos takes shape. It looks like… Weiler’s boundless imagination builds on this like and lends it its respective appearance. He has spoken about the fact that this nature comes from within himself. “Paintings from the unconscious, these are the paintings ‘Like a Landscape’ and ‘Landscapes from the Unconscious’. Finally, around 1960, I grasped the means for these paintings. I carefully considered the means that would allow me to encompass a great deal and grasp it rationally, solely to enable that depiction. …”
