Eduard Veith:
Veith studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under Adolf Laufenberger, and continued his education in Paris. He was very versatile. Among his works are the ceiling frescos in the Maria Theresa Hall of the Hofburg in Vienna, the German Volkstheater in Vienna and the at the Dianabad, wall paintings in the Varieté Ronacher and the Metropol-Theater in Berlin. Veith produced the theatre curtains at the German Volkstheater in Vienna and at the German Theatre in Prague, as well as mythological and historical representations from Austrian history in the Neue Hofburg. In addition to landscapes, as a valuable painter of women he also made several portraits of ladies from Viennese society.
