Mixed lot (4 items): India, Burma: a temple bell with 2 elephants and a chain, an oil lamp and a bell from India, as well as an animal bell from Burma.
1: India: a temple bell with a clapper and two elephants standing on their rear legs. With a chain comprising twelve individually cast components and a hook for hanging. All parts are cast in yellow cast-alloy (brass with a high percentage of copper) using the waste mould technique.
Height: 26 cm (bell);
Diameter: 13 cm (bell); length: 94 cm (in total, hanging). Between the 19th and the early 20th centuries.
2: India: a round old oil lamp with a spout and a surface to hold a wick at the front with a tall handle and decoration comprising double spirals and dots. Cast in yellow cast-alloy (brass) using the waste mould technique.
Height: 10 cm (with handle);
Diameter: 7 cm (below). Between the 19th and the early 20th centuries.
3: India: a bell with hanging loop. Cast in a single piece from yellow cast-alloy (brass) using the waste mould technique.
Height: 6.5 cm.
4: Burma: an old rectangular animal bell. With two hangers on the upper sides and a continuous band of decoration below. Cast in yellow cast-alloy (brass) using the waste mould technique. With an empty bullet casing inside as the clapper.
Dimensions: 8 cm x 9 cm x 4.5 cm. Between the 19th and the early 20th centuries. (ME)
