1: Two Ottoman ladies’ jackets. One made of dark blue velvet with red lining. The other jacket is made of dark red velvet. Both jackets are richly embroidered on the front, back and on both sleeves with shiny silver metal threads and sequins in the courtly style to create curved leaf and floral motifs. The embroidery on the blue jacket also features red and light blue accents from the underlaid fabric. Both objects are finished off on the front, at the bottom and on the sleeves with decorative bands that have been stitched on. There is only minor age-related damage (a hole in the collar of the blue jacket, edges frayed).
Dimensions: length: each c. 40 cm (back); width: 146 cm; 132 cm (both sleeves).

2: A pair of very wide Ottoman men’s trousers (so-called ‘harem pants’) made from violet velvet, triple-stitched, and lined with white fabric. The front, back and both sides of the trousers are richly embroidered with shiny silver metal threads and sequins in the courtly style, creating curved floral and leaf decorations. The trousers are open at the top and predominantly closed at the bottom. Only the lower portion of the outer side has two small holes for the legs, hemmed with decorative bands. Good condition, no significant damage.
