An unusually old mask out of originally light-coloured, lightweight wood. With narrow, slightly projecting hairstyle (typical Vuvi), a red triangle on the forehead (typical Galoa), slit, outlined eyes, short, broad nose and small, open mouth (common for both tribes). The mask face is extensively coloured white, black and red in sectors, and the eyebrows are accentuated blue. With colour scuffing due to age, an old crack in the right half of the face, and breaks to the back rim. With excellent, old and partially shine usage patina on the back.
Height: 26 cm; width: 19 cm. Between c. 1900 and the first third of the 20th century. (ME)
