by Johann Christoph Voigtländer (1732–1797), Vienna c. 1770, signed “J: C: Voigtländer / in Wienn”, brass, with two folding alidades, compass with silvered scale (glass, needle, screw missing), half-circle with scales from 0–90–180 and 180–90–0, original red linen fitted wood case (damaged).
