Mixed lot (2 pieces), Nigeria, tribe: Ibo or Ibibio: two small shrine figures, one with movable arms.
Two charming, small shrine figures, male and female, from the Ibo or Ibibio (a subgroup of the Ibo in southeastern Nigeria). The male figure is mainly dyed reddish-brown (by means of powdered redwood), with white face (kaolin).
The female figure is mainly white (kaolin) and both her arms are movable.
Height: each 21 cm.
