late 18th century, hardwood frame with highly-contrasting rosewood and tulipwood veneer as well as crossbanded marquetry in field motifs, with canted angles, rhomb decor on the sides, floral medallions on the lower doors, folding writing surface with iron support, enclosing an ebonised fitted interior with compartments and 6 inner drawers, double bolt lock, 1 cornice drawer, c. 156 x 80 x 37 cm, the marble top missing, several signs of age and use.
