Arraiolos (Portugal), ca. 455 x 347 cm, circa 1900. In satin stitch or Portuguese stitch in wool, with jute warp. With a central medallion, flowers and vases of flowers being typical of Portuguese work, most being commissioned by noble or middle class households. The jute base with the edges turned, very attractive colours and exceptionally good condition. (MA)
