Johann Gottfried Sommer (1782 Leuben – 1848 Prague) was a German topographer and writer. He was the author of the new statistical-topographical description of the Kingdom of Bohemia. His magnum opus, entitled Das Königreich Böhmen: Statistisch-topographisch dargestellt was published in the years 1833-1849 and it comprises sixteen volumes (the first was published devoted to the Litoměřice region and the last one, which was published posthumously, was dedicated to the Beroun region).

Condition: a set of 16 volumes in the original inconsistent paper bindings. Binding is slightly worn and damaged. In some of the volumes there are stamp of certain defunct associations. The books are in good condition and the text part seems to be complete.
