Note:
In the Catalogue Raisonné photograph, the tree at the bottom centre of the work is shown without leaves. That black and white photograph was in fact the only photograph of the work that the Archive had in their possession at the time of its publication. However, the Archive themselves have confirmed that the foliage on the tree that we see today is the result of a subsequent addition by the artist himself, who often came back to his paintings and painted on them.
