…H.U.O.: In den 1990er Jahren war die Kollaboration zwischen Künstlern ein wichtiges Thema. Du hattest Kontakt mit Schifano und Boetti. Wie hat sich diese Zusammenarbeit entwickelt?
H.B.: Mario Schifano und Alighiero Boetti waren für mich als Personen und Künstler wichtig, obwohl mit beiden nie eine künstlerische Kollaboration stattfand. Kollaborationen gab es mit Franz West, Gerwald Rockenschaub, Otto Zitko, Gilbert Bretterbauer und Loys Egg. Schifano und Boetti habe ich als Fan besucht. Mittlerweile arbeite ich nicht mehr direkt mit anderen Künstlern zusammen. Es kommt gelegentlich zu gemeinsamen Ausstellungen, wie zum Beispiel mit Adrian Schiess, Albert Oehlen und Christopher Wool. Träumen tue ich von einer Ausstellung mit der Legende Bruno Gironcoli….

... H. U. O.: In the 1990s collaboration between artists was an important topic. You were in contact with Schifano and Boetti. How did that collaboration develop? H. B.: Mario Schifano and Alighiero Boetti were important for me both as persons and artists, although no artistic collaboration ever took place with either of them. I collaborated with Franz West, Gerwald Rockenschaub, Otto Zitko, Gilbert Bretterbauer and Loys Egg. But I visited Schifano and Boetti as a fan. Meanwhile, I no longer work with other artists. Sometimes it happens that we may have exhibitions together, as was the case with Adrian Schiess, Albert Oehlen and Christopher Wool. And I still dream of an exhibition with the legendary Bruno Gironcoli...
