The Porcelain Manufactory of Nikolas Yussupoff existed between 1814–1831 in Archangelskoje. It purchased the unpainted porcelain items from the Sévres Manufactory in France and painted them at Archangelskoje. The above plate is from the series "Views of the Village Grusino”. The village Grusino was considered one of the most beautiful stretches of countryside during the early 19th cent. It is located near Novgorod by the River Wolchowo and belonged to Count Arakcheev, who resided there until his death.
