the originally Tibetan deity is said to have been submitted to Padmasambhava in the eighth century and included in Buddhist teaching as a protector under oath (Tibetan: Damchen). Dorje Legpa is particularly important to the Nyingma and the Kagyü schools and is one of the great Terdag, the protectors of the treasure texts hidden by Padmasambhava (terma). The figure is depicted riding a mule in side seat, with a typical hat with wide rim, goatee and third eye on the forehead, the hands are stretched out displaying the gesture for warding off evil (karana mudra), hat, clothes, boots and saddle cloth are engraved with fine patterns, the lotus plinth completed separately, wear, height 15.7 cm.
