After studying at the Glassmaking School in Železný Brod Zdeněk Lhotský graduated from the Academy of Arts where he studied at Prof. Libenský’s studio. He is a founding member of the Tvrdohlaví art group. In 1994 he founded the Lhotský - Pelechov Studio that specialises in the technology of fused sculpture. In this field, the studio is a world leader; it fuses the works of the leading glass artists. Zdeněk Lhotský is also involved with free creation. The bowls of simple shapes that are offered create a monumental impression, whereas the volume of the bowl models the light that it transmits.
