Designed by Tadao Ando*, 2011, executed by Venini, Murano, 2011, overlaid glass, clear and aquamarine blue, each vase with different surface textures: “Ghiaccio” / roughly carved finish, with incised signature: Prototypo, h. c. Aquamare Ando/venini 2011, acid etched factory mark: 90/Venini/2011/Ando, height c. 56.5 cm. Prototype of the limited edition of 30 examples.
Made on the occasion of Venini’s 90th anniversary. With a certificate issued by Venini, signed by Tadao Ando and Giancarlo Chimento.

The art of the Japanese architect Tadao Ando is characterised by its consistent minimalism. Similar to his buildings, he also concentrates on simple geometric forms in his vase objects, combining them with the aestheticism of subtle surface accentuations.
