porcelain, form "Weimarvase mit antiken Schlangen" (Weimar vase with serpent in the manner of antiquity), the turquoise body with narrow and wide gilt edging, gilt pine finial, acanthus wreath heightened with gilt, gilt string of beads, gilt handles with beads and leaf terminals, the shoulder with a white ground arc frieze, light purple fluting, the base of the body with gilt painted star lattice, chain border and acanthus leaves heightened with gilt, the facing side and reverse decorated with reserves, containing polychrome painted seascapes with architecture, horsemen, farmers, and dogs, outlined with gilt and purple decoration, round knop, base and plinth, height: 51 cm, KPM-Berlin, underglaze blue sceptre- and penny mark 1849-1870, impressed no. 38, III, model ca. 1785 (Ru)
