porcelain, of oval form, the body with narrow and wide gilt edging, gilt pine finial, the angular gilt handles with leaf terminals and 4 gilt console feet, decorated with wide gilt leaf borders on carnelian ground, wide matt gilt bands with bright gilt palmettes-, bead- and meander borders, gilt leaf friezes with rosettes on light blue grounds, decorated with polychrome painted grotesques with nude female torchbearers, vases, blossoms and leaves, medallions with male and female water creatures with fish tails in reed landscapes, gilt medallions cont. ladies and gentlemen in the manner of antiquity and painted én grisaille, the facing side and reverse of the lid with oval reserves, cont. polychrome painted mountain landscapes with dancing amorettes and amorettes with bow and arrow, lighting 4 torches, the body decorated with large polychrome painted scenes, total height: 48 cm, length: 39 cm, the feet slightly chipped, the rim with chip, Vienna, Imperial Manufactory, underglaze-blue Austrian shield, year no. 1816, turner W Kaspar Dandl 1783-1834 on presentoir, underglaze blue apocryphal Austrian shield after 1864 on the body (Ru)
