The present bust is based on a model by J. J. Kändler ca. 1753 in Meissen. In 1753, Kändler drew an authentic portrait with blue eyes from a sitting in Paris. The bust was commissioned by her grandfather August III, King of Poland and Prince Elector of Saxony;
