three putti sitting on a rocky base, the figure on the left gazes through a magnifying glass and holds a book about geography in his right, the central figure holds a ruler in his right and embraces the other figure, before him lie a set square and compass, the figure on the right holds a compass and globe, porcelain, polychrome and gilt group, curved front with gilt rims and gilt diagonal bands, height 19 cm, length 18 cm, some restoration, Meissen, underglaze blue sword mark with dash, 1st half of 19th cent., model no. 13, impress no. D 4, painter no. 14, model by Michel Victor Acier, circa 1774-1775 (Ru)
