chronometer escapement "constant force", cylindrical chimes, screw balance, double gear wheel, very early and complex free spring escapement on circular Echappement, 1 week movement, small second hand, enamel dial, blued and partly polished steel hands, engraved Fronton No 1 Chronometer, using J. Marenzeller's "Stetige Kraft", exhibited in Vienna in 1845 and awarded the gold medal as the first portable clock with the system discovered by him, matt gilded dust-tight bronze case with five glazed facets and folding carrying handle, 19,5 cm, Vienna mid-19th century, signs of age and use, in technically well-cared-for condition, no warranty for accuracy or durable function, 1 key, (HP)
