Early Biedermeier étagère or music stand,
Designed and produced by Josef Danhauser in Vienna circa 1820/25. Made in spruce with serpentine side panels, veneered in mahogany, with a polished finish, four shelves, mounted on a rectangular plinth, this with numbering and branding (20 2 and MC with archducal crown) with later bronze mounts on the side supports. 158 x 54 x 41 cm. Small cracks, some veneer losses. (MIN)
