Vienna, around 1885/90, pink coloured silk, flower with lace décor, cotton and leather lining, leather insole, leather outer sole, length 27 cm, label of imperial shoemaker k. k. Hofschuhmacher W. Marschner, marked on the sole 'Von der Kronprinzessin Stephanie' ['of crown princess Stephanie'] at a later date, heels scuffed, (HS)
Provenance: From the estate of Mathilde Wimmer, who was employed in the nursery of Princess Hohenberg from May to November 1903 and according to family lore was given a number of objects from the imperial family's property. A photocopy of the certificate of employment by Princess Hohenberg from 1903 including seal and signature is included.
