Northeast Persia (Iran), c. 500 x 337 cm, about 1930, oversized carpet from the Khorasan region with sixteen-lobe medallion and large, blue all-round selvedge on all sides – in the manner of the well-known Mashhad carpets, the present piece displays the signature: "Ghalybafam", which identifies it as a rare product from the eponymous workshop in Sabzevar, full pile in delicate colours.
