Iron strong box,
An outstanding piece of artistic wrought iron work from the 1st half of the 20th century, made in the Renaissance style with a superb original lock from the mid-18th century, which is inscribed and dated "J. C. Schuppach Meisterstück in Schwabach, 1753". The external body is painted with armorial cartouches, trade symbols, two dates "1531 and MDXXXI" and the name "Kaspar Fllini". The box has lateral iron handles, fittings for 3 padlocks with an additional concealed lock and 2 concealed key holes. The interior oak body has decorative mounts and the lock as described above. Ca. 55 x 108 x 57 cm. With 3 original locks. In cared for condition. (PZ)
