Condition: The original leather binding is frayed and slightly damaged. missing brass buckles. A title sheet is missing. The herbarium is partially coloured. Missing pages 13 - 17 are replaced by an old-style transcript. The content part is damaged in places and repaired in the past.

The 2nd Czech edition is completed with illustrations from Konrad Gesner's estate. The illustrations are much smaller than the original Melantrich's engraving in the first edition, but they have many advantages in terms of the botanical aspect. Daniel Adam of Veleslavín (1546-1599), with the cooperation of Adam Huber of Reisenbach (1546-1613), translated this book and also obtained the French typographic material for its Prague's edition. The newly translated text was supplemented by the passages from other foreign herbaria by Joseph D. Dalechamp and Jacob Theodor Tabernaemontan. The advantage of this edition are extensive indexes.
