Provincial early Baroque coffer, - Rustic Furniture

Known as a “Sockeltruhe”,Alpine district, 3rd quarter of the 17th century. A pine coffer with brown painted finish, also with applied carved pilasters, panels, flame mouldings and angel heads. The coffer has a polychrome painted interior with fittings and the motto "Gotseligkeit die bringt zu wegen das unser arbeit komt zu segen", daed"1669". With original lock and key. Ca. 93 x 156 x 66 cm. Some ageing, with parts of the fitted interior replaced or missing. (PZ)
