A hanging scroll with a centrally placed image of a luohan taming a dragon, and holding a magic pearl in his hand. He is surrounded by a throng of Buddhist and Daoist divinities, including the Four Heavenly Kings, the god of thunder, Erlang, Niangniang and the gods of the Plough constellation. Depicted in the lower register are three demons, supervised by a Daoist priest, holding a sword and a cup containing magic water. Some losses and tears. Recently remounted. 156.5 x 41.5 cm. (BA)
