A bronze figure of Shadakshari-Lokeshvara. Tibet/Nepal, 18th/19th century
The figure depicts the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion in his four-armed form, seated in the lotus position on a lotus throne, his main pair of hands in a gesture of greeting, his other right hand originally held prayer beads (now missing), his other left hand a lotus flower. To the rear of the throne, two loops for affixing an aureole (missing). Cast in one piece. Sealed. Height: 9.1 cm. (BA)
