Stucco. Crisply carved face with a pointed nose, small mouth, round chin, half-open almond-shaped eyes, and ‘urna’ in raised relief to the forehead; elongated earlobes, the wavy hair flowing backwards and tied above the head in a top knot. The stylistic influence of Hellenistic art is evident, above all, in the chin and nose, and the wavy hair. Traces of pigment. Oval depression to back of head, where it may have been attached to a nimbus. Slight chips to nose and ears. A few repairs. Height: 28 cm. Mounted on a metal base. (BA)
