An armchair – Prototype for the chairs of honour in the Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorka near Tolmin, designed near the Isonzo in 1917, executed by Anton Perathoner from Gröden, carved yew wood, the seat and backrest with leather cover, movable backrest, used original condition, on the back of the rest titled, signed and dated, height 102 x 72 cm, (B).
The Church in Javorka near Tolmin was built over a period of eight months in honour of the soldiers who fell in the Battle of the Isonzo and was inaugurated on 1 November 1916. The original plan, most of the paintings and furnishings are by Remigius Geyling.
