1963 Porsche 356 B Super 75

1963 Porsche 356 B Super 75 - CLASSIC CARS and Automobilia

Matching numbers in a rare colours scheme!

In September 1959, Porsche started delivery of the 356 B. Technology and bodywork were modernised and in its appearance the 356 B was easy to distinguish by the higher position of its bumpers and headlights. In autumn of 1961, the bodywork of the cars now known as BT6 again underwent extensive alterations to their bodywork, with a significantly larger rear window and front hatch. This anticipated the appearance of the later 356 C model.

The present Porsche 356 was delivered in March 1963 via the Porsche Centre Pacific in Burlingame. It is rather interesting to note that the colour scheme of 6207 heron grey and a black interior does not appear in the official literature. The existing birth certificate, however, confirms exactly this combination; it also confirms that engine and transmission still come with matching numbers as they did on the day of delivery. The consigner has acquired the Porsche some years ago and provided it with a new coat of paint in the original colour. The Nardi steering wheel in the original interior adds a sportsmanlike touch. During a short test drive, the 356 gave a convincing performance. As its current owner will be moving abroad, prospective buyers have good reason to look forward to this Porsche!
