1992 Daimler Double Six
In 1972, Daimler, Jaguar’s deluxe division, ennobled its saloon models with the new V12-engine. This combination had been seen since the war and BMW only followed suit in 1987! The V12 had always been something special and the Double Six continued to be built until 1992 although the six cylinder models had already had to make way for their successors in 1986.
The present Daimler Double Six is one of the last of its kind. It was first registered in Germany in late November 1992, while back in Britain the assembly lines were coming to a halt. Its first owner had ordered the aristocratic saloon in the most aristocratic colour combinations - black and black. As a late model there are very few features that are not part of the Double Six’s serial run. A desire for air condition, sun roof, individual seats in the back, superior woods and quality leathers, has already been anticipated and is part of the package. Everywhere one looks, the saloon manages to leave a lasting impression! The consigner, who brought the car to Austria, enjoyed it regularly if rarely but always took loving care of his Daimler and had it serviced by specialists. Now this epitome of elegance is looking for a new home where it will be cared for for many more years!
