porcelain, body with everted lip, to interior and exterior wide gilt rims, reserve with dark polychrome stormy sky, view of Berlin’s Museum Island, to the left the Königliches Museum, to the right the Neues Museum, before which the Spree Bridge with Biedermeier figures, boiler house with smoking chimney and sailing boat and rowers, 3 gilt paw feet, raised gilt-accented handle with gilt rosette and leaves, height 13.5 cm, Ø 18.5 cm, saucer with fine and wide gilt rim and dedication, KPM-Berlin, underglaze blue eagle mark with KPM circa 1844-1847 (Ru)

The Königliches Museum was opened in 1830, having been built after plans by Schinkel. The Neues Museum was designed by Friedrich August Stüler;
