Large Neo-Classical writing desk,
Vienna, circa 1800. In mahogany-veneered hardwood, of a splayed and freestanding form, with tapering legs on casters, two drawers and two doors with stepped panels, these decorated with applied brass fillets, and with a similar decoration verso with sham drawers. The desk has canted angles, a continuous brass border, gilt brass mounts and pull-out lateral ledges. 81 x 160 x 88 cm. With a replaced writing surface. In restored condition. (DOC)
