from the estate of Archduke Heinrich Ferdinand, 76 cm long rose damascened blade, fullered on one side, stamped "Solinger Rosendamast", the back with gold cartouche with the inscription Hoflieferant Striberny a Wien", openwork basket with floral decoration, ferrule, full backpiece with tabs, wooden grip with fishskin and silver twistwire wrap, the rivet cap with crowned archducal coat of arms with the Collar of the Golden Fleece, complete with scabbard, the blade with several areas of rust, the nickel plating on the basket and scabbard rubbed and rusted in parts, (He)

Note: Archduke Heinrich Ferdinand Salvator was born on 13.2.1878 in Salzburg, as the son of Grand Duke Ferdinand IV of Tuscany and his second wife Alice Maria of Parma, and died in Salzburg on 21.5 1969. The Archduke served in the Austro-Hungarian army and was a Major general by the end of the war in 1818. Provenance: Habsburg family.
