"The First Supper" Installation at the MAK Vienna is a result and synthesis of a series of exhibitions by Jerszy Seymour that explore the possibility of an "Amateur" society using polycaprolactone wax both as a construction material and as a metaphor for the creative energy in all people. "The First Supper" is a non utopian way of discussing utopia, it is an idea of the ever-topia. Having discovered the joy of making and using polycaprolacton wax both as a construction material and as a metaphor for the creative energy in all people, "The First Supper" invited people to a dinner where the kitchen first produced the wax funrniture and then the food, a non hierachical situation to discuss utopia using cooking as a practical metaphor for production and consumption and the possibility of an amateur society. (amateur meaning lover, appassionato and nonproffesional as a way of being) "The First Supper" is a nowhere place, an amateur soup and an open ended utopian question mark it is cooked on a non commodity flame and made with ingredients of doing, sharing and being should it exist) coult it exist? what will be eayt? what will be talk about? you are invited to dinner by Jerszy Seymour and the coalition with love, please enjoy and viva la utopia!
