a) Ottoman velvet, Turkey, c. 47 x 45 cm, 19th century, silk crimson warp with cotton weft thread and cut silk pile, the mottled silk and wool pattern consists of two pieces and features symmetrical palmette bushes flanked by two birds of prey each, overall trimmed with embroidered fabric.

b) Persian silk embroidery and silver threads with a silk core, c. 35 x 52 cm, second half of the 18th century, two rows of blossoming plants in axisymmetric arrangement, the background consistently woven with metal threads, borders with wave patterns, framed with finely woven silk fabric, secured with modern silk cloth on the back.
