Baluch Balischt,
Northeast Persia (Iran), c. 74 x 49 cm, about 1920, on the grounds of its typical patterns the present item can be easily attributed to the Salar-Khani tribes; this Balischt sticks out for its small format: bags such as the present one were mostly bigger and were an important element of mobile household inventory in the tribal life of nomad people; finely knotted in excellent wool quality, some knots executed in silk, brocaded endweaves preserved on both sides, back part missing, edge damage, some minor wax stains.
