West Persia (Iran), c. 204 x 134 cm, end of the 19th century, the most exquisite Persian flatweaves reminiscent of court culture come from the area near the Kurdish village of Sannandadj, where a luxury market developed when it became an administrative centre in the 19th century; in slit technique and arched wefts, Zili Sultan repeat with harmonious pastel nuances, slightly damaged, both ends only partially preserved.
