East Caucasus, c. 210 x 112 cm, end of the 19th century, standard pattern of a blue ground shirvan carpet with three staggered rhombi flanked by gulpa symbols at the ends, white Karagashli blossoms as secondary motifs, especially striking is the yellow-ground main border with eagle’s beak patterns, only slight signs of wear, brown slightly oxidised, both ends with kilim ends and knotted warp threads, the side edges repaired.
