Mixed lot (2 items), India: A Bangle with a screw top in the form of a Stupa, and a bangle decorated with curved grooves. - Tribal Art

1: A bangle with a fastening in the form of a Stupa or temple tower. With screw top and hinge for opening. With rich soldered décor of bands, rhombs and flowers. Probably executed in silver in a hollow form and subsequently covered with copper (‘copper plated’). A jewellery type from the Federal State of Gujarat. With good, old usage patina. DM: 8 cm x 11 cm (with tower).
2: A heavy bangle made of silver, cast in two hollow halves and decorated with spiralling grooves on the outside. Good, old patina. DM: c. 11 cm x 11 cm (on the outside).
Both bangles: First half of the 20th century. (ME)
