Mixed lot (4 items): Indian silver jewellery: Four quality silver bangles, two hollowed and two fully carved. - Tribal Art

A high bangle made of silver, hollowed, the outside decoratively cast and engraved. With an all-round, central band of leafy and floral tendrils, trimmed with decorative bands consisting of short lines and dots. A segment can be opened by means of a buckle and a hinge with a copper stick. DM: 6 cm (on the inside).
Another hollowed silver bangle, the outside cast with diagonal bulging segments and foliate bands on both sides. The bangle can be opened in the middle of the relief by means of a hinge (with copper bolt) and buckle. The fastening is surmounted by a silver fruit with knops. The fastening has a buckle, but the bolt is missing. DM: 5.5 cm (on the inside).
A silver bangle made up of numerous, fully cast chain links, tightly attached to each other and held in an ‘interlocked’ arrangement thanks to the two fixed parts of the fastening. This results in a very flexible, ‘supple’ feature of the present bangle. With buckle. Diameter: c. 5.5 cm.
A very beautiful bangle, with two ends in the form of dragon heads, cast in silver of the highest quality. The two dragon heads were additionally engraved, the whole bracelet decoratively hallmarked with dot-and star motifs. Rings and many small silver eyelets are soldered on the outside, along a central line and to the ‘back’ of the two dragons as well as on the back of their heads. Small, spiral pendants are attached to these eyelets by means of short chains. The pendants consist of flat hammered silver wire. A silversmith’s masterpiece! DM: c. 6 cm. (ME)
