- this classic French Vitus aluminium frame carrying the Motobecane label
- Robert Alban won the third place in the 1981 Tour de France on a Vitus Mark III frame
- an almost seamless transition between lugs and frame tubes is a detail on Vitus frames
- the steering tube is actually a single large lug
- hardly any other aluminium frame was so seductively delicate
- this badged Vitus was probably the last brave attempt of Motobecane to move the failing brand back upmarket
- whether branded Vitus or Motobecane, a true collectors item
