A large “Stella” hanging light, J. T. Kalmar, Vienna,
c. 1950, bundles of 48 brass arms, cut glass globes, fitted for 24 lights, diameter 250 cm. (DRAX)
A special model of the “Stella” lamp as a particularly large version, which makes it a unique item. This lamp, as well as the table and chairs offered here, comes from a conference room, probably that at the Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG office headquarters at No. 7 Kärntner Ring, built by Carl Appel in 1955/56. The building, the so-called “Steyr House”, was damaged by fire in 1989 and was subsequently demolished.
