1957/58, for Fritz Hansen, Denmark, X-shaped aluminium swivelling base, polyester seat shell, black leather covering, white FH factory mark, swivelling mechanism, height 107 cm, width 88 cm, depth 77 cm, height of seat 36 cm. (DRAX)
The first model without seat cushion, which was only produced until 1960. The shape of this early model is slightly more curved than that of the later version featuring a seat cushion. Designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, which was built by Arne Jacobsen between 1956 and 1960.
